Updated: The WA Government has introduced a mask mandate for all indoor public areas in the Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions from 6pm Thursday 27 January 2022 until further notice. The below decisions regarding the wearing of masks at Activ’s sites also apply to the Wheatbelt and Great Southern region.
The WA Government has reintroduced a mask mandate for all indoor public areas in the Perth and Peel regions from 6pm Sunday 16 January 2022 until further notice. Click here to read the news story on ABC.
This decision follows the detection of a growing number of cases of COVID-19 in the Perth community.
If circumstances change and further restrictions are announced by the WA Government, we will communicate changes to you as soon as possible.

Mask mandate in the Perth, Peel, South West, Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions
To comply with the current guidelines from the WA Government, we have made the following decisions:
- All Activ staff and supported employees are required to wear Activ provided masks at their place of work
- Activ customers are encouraged to wear masks at Activ’s community hubs and accommodation houses
- All visitors to any Activ site are required to wear masks
These changes will come into effect at 6pm Sunday 16 January 2022 ( 6pm Thursday 27 January 2022 for the Wheatbelt and Great Southern) and will be in place until further notice.
People travelling to other regions from the Perth, Peel and South West regions
Anyone who has been in the Perth and Peel regions since 06 January and has entered another regional area will also be required to adhere to the mask mandate. Anyone who has been in the South West region since 12 January and has entered another regional area will also be required to adhere to the mask mandate. Anyone who has been in the Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions since January 20 and has since travelled to another region will also be required to adhere to the mask mandate.

If you have been at any of these locations at the dates and times specified, you must follow the relevant advice for that site.
