COVID-19 Service and Policy Update – 13 April

Update: Updated close contact and isolation requirements

The WA Government has recently announced that COVID-related public health measures will be further relaxed from 12:01am Thursday 14 April. To view the full update, click here.

From 12:01am Thursday 14 April, a close contact is defined as:

  • a person who resides or stays overnight in the same premises as a person with COVID-19, or
  • a person who has had more than four hours of cumulative contact with a COVID-19 case in a residential setting, where both were unmasked for this period, or
  • someone who WA Health has determined as a close contact.

People in isolation who are not a household close contact will be able to leave isolation at 12.01am Thursday 14 April. If this applies to you (staff or supported employee), check your Activ email or contact your employee coordinator to learn more about the steps you need to take to return to work.

On 31 March, the WA Government reduced the public health and social measures back to Level 1 measures.

Conflicting information from WA Health has delayed our communication of these new requirements.

The following measures are based on the latest health advice and aim to help safely manage COVID in the community and keep Western Australians safe.

You can read about the Level 1 measures on the WA Government website.
